Every nandoca has an annual holiday entitlement based on their contracted hours and below we've provided some guidance on how many days/hours you should request when booking holiday in Workday. We have slightly different guidance depending upon whether you're hourly paid or salaried.
If you are hourly paid
When requesting holiday, you should take your contracted hours and divide them by the number of days you usually work in a week and round this value to the nearest 0.5 hour, this gives you the number of hours you should aim to enter for every days absence you wish to take. Workday will restrict your time entry to half hour (0.5) increments, which is why you need to round your day value to the nearest half hour.
Working example for hourly paid
Billy is contracted to 38 hours per week and usually works 5 days. To calculate Billy's holiday we would take 38 and divide by 5, which equals 7.6 hours. We then need to round this value to the nearest half hour, so this would be 7.5 in this situation and this is the value Billy would enter for every days holiday requested.
If you are salaried
When requesting holiday you should only request the contracted days (days you usually work) in Workday.
If you are full time and wish to take 1 week off, then you should only request 5 days holiday (and use the comments section to request the other 2 days of the week as your days off if you work in operations).
If you are part-time and usually work 3 days per week and wish to take 1 week off then you should only request 3 days in the week as holiday and use the comments section to request any remaining days as your days off.
